Andrew M Stiglmeier, AIA, RID

Founding Principal + Architect + Interior Designer

  • Andrew's journey began with a deep-rooted passion for design and expression that was sparked during high school and developed through his education at Texas Tech University. After nearly a decade honing his craft in Dallas, and a yearning to have a bit more agency in the work he was doing along with how he was doing it, A. Michael Architecture was created. His desire to help families craft legacy homes ready for a lifetime of memories is ever present in the projects AMA has the pleasure to lead.

  • At AMA, Andrew emphasizes a client-focused approach, combining premium materials with respect for traditional architecture. His knowledge of classical forms enables him to innovate, resulting in unique, contextually relevant designs.

  • Prior to starting with AMA, Andrew gained valuable experience and client-centered design perspectives working with renowned firms SHM Architects in Dallas, TX and Curtis and Windham Architects in Houston, TX. It was during that time that the foundational aspects of the AMA process were honed and developed into what they are today to provide more value to all of AMA's clients.

  • Andrew's diverse upbringing in New York, Illinois, Colorado, and Singapore, followed by his move to San Antonio, TX, has given him a unique worldview that informs all aspects of his life, whether in business or at home. With a focus on serving others, Andrew is constantly doing what he can to make a positive difference in the lives of those he meets. Outside of architecture, he enjoys quality time with his family while also exploring his interests in sports, technology, fitness, and cooking among others.
